Legendary singer, performer and entertainer, Fela Kuti recounts his anguish with the armed military men on this track dubbed "Sorrow, Tears and Blood". On February 18, 1977, troops sent by the government storm his home in Kalakuta Republic killing people and destroying properties.

This song "Sorrow, Tears and Blood" depicts the torture Fela Anikulapo Kuti, his band, friends and family went through during an unprecedented raid sponsored by the government. According to him, the soldiers & police came to his house and left them with Sorrows, Tears and Blood and he called it their regular trademarks. Fela Kuti, is a dogged music activist. His criticism on the governments and its allies was why he was constantly attacked and sometimes jailed. Even at that, he never compromised, and that earned him his crown.
