Mr Eazi Dance Group - Choplife Sound System Releases Debut Album Chop Life Vol. 1 Mzansi Chronicles. Mr Eazi's Dance Group "Choplife Sound System" Releases Their Major Debut Album Titled "Chop Life Vol. 1: Mzansi Chronicles."

The musical group, 'ChopLife Sound System' rising on the horizon, introduced themselves earlier this year with the Amapiano-tinged single - Wena, the lead single from their current Album, which features the lead vocals of the South African singer - Ami Faku. A few weeks after dazzling the fans with the astonishing Amapiano tracks coupled with the release of the new Album, majorly influenced by South African sounds, Amapiano, the dance group pioneered by DJ Edu and Mr Eazi, is keen to launch the Afro Sounds to the highest level.
The name 'ChopLife SoundSystem' is a lingo coined from a West African Pidgin expression that means 'enjoy life', as well as the transitional rhythms and sound systems that characterize Jamaican music culture. Afro Dance will adapt and tweak Jamaican sound systems to suit African sensibilities, further motivated by the likes of Major Lazer.
Their debut CD, Choplife Vol 1 – Mzansi Chronicles, marks the beginning of their music series poised to take over the African music scene. In this mixtape, fourteen tracks are included, recorded between Capetown and Johannesburg in South Africa, as it immerses listeners in the world-class music produced by the South African club scene. Vocalist & Anaati appear on By Force, Ami Faku, Moonchild Sanelly, Major League DJs, Mellow and Sleazy, Nkosazana Daughter, 2woshort & Stompiiey, Mo-T & Aymos appear on Ziwa La, and on Major League DJs, Mellow, and Sleazy. Essentially, Mozambique's DJ Tarico (known for Yaba Buluku, his hit from 2021 featuring Burna Boy) as well as beatmakers Milan Rendall Mellow & Sleazy, Ghetto Boy, LuuDaDeejay, Soul Jam, and Mathondos from South Africa, as well as Type A from Nigeria, contributed to the project. The Afrocentric yet cross-cultural bonding on the project positions it for a wider reception amongst fans of African music. "This is not just a side project; this is a serious project," Mr Eazi says.
This recent mixtape series is dominated by Amapiano, a thriving South African house music style that has dominated soundscapes across Africa in recent years; however, future instalments will cover more styles in African club and party music. "I like the idea of going to a new place for 30 days and making a project," Mr Eazi says.
Mr Eazi and Choplife Sound System dance group will be performing a pop-up tour this summer in Barcelona (July 7), Amsterdam (July 8), London (July 14), and Paris (July 16). This tour will be followed by appearances at the Berlin Afrobeats Festival (August 5) and Stockholm's Kulturfestival (August 18).
